Happy Diwali 2019. As you must be aware that Diwali is one of the biggest festivals of the Hindus but is celebrated throughout the world, not only by the Hindus but a large population on the earth. Diwali celebrations are done in many ways. People light up their homes, offices and commercial establishments as Diwali denotes victory of light over darkness. Diwali can easily be termed as festival of light. There are also some social evils linked with celebration of Diwali. People gamble a lot on the night of Diwali. New clothes, gifts , sweets etc are bought on the occasion of Diwali. Lots of fire crackers are burnt to celebrate Diwali. Lakshmi. Puja is performed in every Hindu home to please Godess of wealth.

Why is Diwali 2019 celebrated?

Diwali is celebrated as victory of good over evil, victory of light over darkness and to commemorate the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after He had defeated and killed Ravan the symbol of evil and darkness in the society, then. Sikhs celebrate Diwali as tenth guru, Guru Gobind Singhji had won a major war and got many kings released on the day of Diwali.

Diwali is also celebrated as start of New year in many parts of India and new set of books were started the day of Diwali.
